


NCHHD: An Introduction
NCHHD (National Council For Handloom & Handicraft Development) was established in the year 1983-84 under the aegis of Govt. of India, Ministry of Textiles, Office of Development Commissioner (Handicrafts). It was earlier known as COHANDS (Council of Handicraft Development Corporations)
NCHHD is an apex body of 30 State /Central Govt. Handicrafts / Handlooms Development Corporations with its well-knit members throughout the country.
NCHHD is the National Resource organisation (NRO) of Ministry of Rural Development (MoRD) under SVEP Umbrella Programme. NCHHD is the Nodal Agency for SFURTI and Implementing Agency for the ESDP under MoMSME, Govt. of India. NCHHD is the empanelled Govt. Agency as implementing partner with DC(Handicrafts), Ministry of Textiles, Govt. of India
